Types of Headaches
There are three main types of headaches including migraines, which are typically described as a throbbing pain that causes sensitivity to light or smells. Migraines also cause nausea and/or vomiting because the pain is so severe.
The other two types of headaches are cluster headaches and tension headaches. Tension headaches are common and do not typically require medical treatment. Cluster headaches, however, happen at the same time every day, and they can be very painful.
